THE MOST POPULAR MEASURING TOOL – for the house, workplace, construction site etc. A flexible ruler used to measure size or distance. The strip with linear-measurement markings shows the results in centimetres and inches.
SPRING MECHANISM - used to retract the tape automatically once the measurement has been taken.
THUMB LOCK – stop button fitted on the front of the housing; it locks the tape in place when pressed, preventing the tape from being pulled out further or retracting.
METAL HOOK with a small slot - to grab onto the head of a nail or screw. This way, if you’re by yourself and need to measure a set point on a flat surface that would normally require someone holding the tape, you can sink a screw or nail, hook the end of the tape measure into this slot, and securely and accurately measure from there.
BELT CLIP – so you can have the tape near you, keeping your hands free. Tapes come in 3 sizes: 3m, 5m and 7.5m.
